Kindergarten Transition

Welcome Incoming Kindergarten Parents of the Class of 2021!!

 Dear Kindergarten Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to Wethersfield Public Schools!  We are delighted to have you join our community and want to ensure that your family’s transition into our school system is as smooth and seamless as possible.

Starting Kindergarten is a milestone for preschoolers and parents alike.  Any child 5 years or older by January 1, 2009 is eligible for Kindergarten.  In Wethersfield, Kindergartners experience a very full half day program that focuses on building skills and concepts in reading, writing and mathematics.  Children also have opportunities to explore science and work cooperatively with their peers.  All of these activities are the cornerstone for future learning and school success.

If you were unable to attend your neighborhood school-based Kindergarten Orientation on May 6th be sure to call your school for the information regarding Kindergarten registration during the week of May 19, 2008.

Please be sure to read the Kindergarten Registration schedule below and check out the links below for the Registration and Health forms.  Feel free to call 860-571-8155 if you have any questions.    We look forward to welcoming you and your child to the Wethersfield Public Schools.

 Sincerely,

Michael Kohlhagen
